GANG Newsletter: July 2013

The Game Audio Network Guild is featuring the Network part of it’s name this August at the smokin’ hot SoCal BBQ party: open to ALL current members of the Game Audio Network Guild and their guests!

GANG will provide burgers, hotdogs, snacks, sodas and you can bring your favorite side dish/ dessert, and/or your own preferred drinks to share.

Bring your acoustic instruments for jamming and swim trunks for the pool. Arcade, video games, pool table, foosball, slot machines & movie theater will also be available for your entertainment.

RSVP to dren at audiogang dot org with your name and the number of people in your group. We will send you details and directions within a day or so.

Please note that while everyone is welcome you must RSVP to attend! It’s a great place to meet new people and network. Looking forward to seeing you there!

We’re taking submissions for both the Essentials and Pro tracks on the following topics:
“Next Gen” audio
Case studies/Post Mortems
Cutting Edge usage (physical modeling, etc.)
Game Audio Authoring
Game Audio Implementation
Unique/Interesting Game Audio Challenges solved
Music/Sound Games
Game Audio Business
Or any interesting topic on Game Music and/or Sound Design.
We’re especially looking for a great talk on interactive sound design: walk through the process of creating a sound effect that varies in response to a game variables be it swords and guns or interactive crowds…

If you’re interested, please send a 1-2 paragraph abstract to [email protected] along with previous speaking experience. Early submissions are encouraged!
