Thailand based game developers Extend Studio (http://x10studio.com) have entered and been nominated for one of the final top 20 entries for Microsofts Dream Build Play 2010 with their game “A.R.E.S” (old trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9XiG61lqpw).
HyperDuck Music Studios, a two-man team of music students (and GANG members) from Ireland (http://hyperduck.co.uk), have worked closely with the team for the last 6 months to write all the music and sound effects for the final release of A.R.E.S.
The Dream Build Play prizes range from a $5,000 4th place to a $40,000 grand prize in first place, with the winner of any of the top 4 slots getting a publishing deal for their title to be released on the XBLA.
HyperDuck Music Studios are also the music behind last years Dream Build Player grand prize winner, Dust: An Elysian Tail(Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tR7vE6l1MN0), by Dean Dodrill (http://elysiantail.com), who is doing all of the animating, art and programming by himself. A release date for Dust is still not confirmed. However A.R.E.S will see a PC release between May and June this year.
The results of the Dream Build Play competition will be announced in early May.
