Dear GANG Community,

It is election season for GANG, and the Board of Directors is currently evaluating candidates for Officer positions within the Guild. We are opening up the nomination process to the general membership, and would like to hear from you if you are interested in the following leadership roles:

President
Vice President
Treasurer
Secretary

This is an initial screening process and your chance to present a platform (statement with your ideas on how you can serve GANG best through the position you are applying) to the Board of Directors for further consideration.

Please send the following in both .pdf and in the body of an email to [email protected] by Friday, July 6th, 2012 to be considered:

1) Brief resume and career history
2) Brief statement with your short summary of ideas and what you would bring to the listed position

Whenever a new GDC begins, the week usually launches with a lot of standard industry buzz and hype, which is true for the industry overall, but also within each discipline. The game audio realm was no exception, and during the first day of GDC we started hearing all the latest in game audio hotness. There was the FMOD announcement, continued buzz over the GANG award nominees, and a LOT about Nashville. (read the rest of the article after the jump…)
