Dear GANG Community,
I hope this email finds you well, and that many of you are able to attend GDC and will help us celebrate our 10th year together!
As many of you already know, my dear wife Morla and I are expecting our first child end of July – and we’ve been going through a wonderful process of preparing to be first time parents! Much of this includes evaluating our time and looking at all of things that will need to change with the baby’s arrival. We are both incredibly busy people, and we realize this will certainly impact my current responsibilities with the Guild.
After a decade of service – starting as an Education Committee member, moving to Senior Director, and now President for the last 5+ years, I have decided to step down as President of the Guild on July 1st, 2012; to focus on my growing family and ongoing responsibilities in the industry. I will remain on the Board of Directors as Vice Chairman, and will work with Founder Tommy Tallarico and my fellow Board Members to find a fantastic new candidate who is right for the job.
This is certainly not an end, but a beautiful beginning for Morla and I. The Guild lives in our hearts, and I remain proud of our past accomplishments and look forward to a bright and promising future.
Thank you, for the inspiration, understanding, and patient support all of you have shown me over the years as we have grown together. All the best wishes to you and your families, and I look forward to a brilliant celebration at GDC.
